Robert Pilgram grew up in Hamburg and studied music theatre in Vienna. He wrote his diploma about the Russian Ballet between 1900 – 1920. After that he began studying classical composition in Hamburg, but switched to film composition at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF after a while.
Next to his academical education he was a long-term member of the music collective Doumen which explores and releases electronic music. With the financial support of the Goethe Institut they toured in Japan in 2015. He is now based in Berlin.
